The objectives of the Institute are:

To develop understanding that integrates multi-stakeholder perspectives concerning issues of development.

To redefine the problems in terms that are directly related to and understood by the stakeholders.

To develop capacities among professionals for multi-disciplinary multi-stakeholder policy analysis.

To promote a wider consensus on such policies among stakeholders and policy makers.

To disseminate ideas and insights to promote sustainable development and inclusive development.

To promote implementation of ideas on development at the field level.

To help upgrade and reorganize existing institutions to promote integrated development and network with existing institutions.
